Create Your Content and Monetize It Using A Blogger Blog: A Compelling Why

I have a confession to make here: I truly believe that if you have content and plan to monetize that content, Blogger blog is a perfect choice, and I'll share you the compelling 'why' below.

But before we proceed, bear in mind that using Blogger is just one way to tag along its power of ranking (used to). The main aim is to get, in this case, organic traffic. There are other way to gain traffic for instance, using Yahoo Answer, which I've shared my story here.

Now, on to the subject in hand ...

I experiment with this blog and have set a target to rank it for...hah!

You won't guess it; a name - Nezrul.

Yup. That's the term I target to rank for (for ranking purpose, not monetization yet).

So I build this blog, less than a week ago and slap some content in it. I admit that I did not optimized each content for 'nezrul' but I just post what I think is appropriate. And I post all about my favorite pass time - making extra cash from the Net.

I check 'nezrul' on Day 1, 24 hours after I build this blog. Nothing.

48 hours...nothing.

72 hours...nothing in sight.

And I think I've done something non-productive.

Um, maybe what I've done is not enough.

My plan to get indexed was simply to build a blog, link it from my Network, and Ping the search engines. After 72 hours, looks like all that are not enough.

So I take a break.

I leave it at that.

And today, when I open up my laptop and connect to the world wide web, I was impatiently waiting to see the result for my past effort.

And I quickly typed 'nezrul' into Google Search Box.

Tadaaa...here's the result:

It's THERE!

Right under my author profile on Ezinearticles.com and my Yahoo! Answer (used to) profile.

Hmm, what do you think of that?

And all I did actually was to make a post on one of my 'senior' blog (ONE post) and ping the search engine using Pingoat (image below):

And that's all it takes for my 'Indexing effort'.

Why post your content on Blogger?

Several reasons. But here are a few:
  • Blogger is free! (how's that for a starter?)
  • Setting up is as easy as A B C
  • Customization is even easier (look at my header. I just load it there and 'walla', personalization at work)
  • Most important - riding on Giant shoulder or...

Piggyback on other site reputation

Have you ever asked how electrical current actually works when you flip the switch? Yes? No?

Nah!

I believe, just like me, you just go ahead and flip the switch.

And that's exactly the situation with using Blogger.

There's this concept we're utilizing without knowing called piggyback - riding on the reputation of an established site.

I did not understand this entirely BUT that did not stop me from using it.

And you should too.

How long do you think it'll take me to get an authority just like ezinearticles.com?

Right.

Forever!

And how long does it take me to ride on the reputation of an authority site like Blogger?

A few minutes ;-)

That's why I personally think, for the rest of Onliners who still looking for ways to monetize their content and stuck at that, give Blogger a shot.

Hey, I don't earn commission for doing this and I certainly not working for the Big G but there's a difference between 'working for' and make something 'work for' you.

I'm doing the latter ;-)

If I were those people who's wondering how to get better deal from the search engine, I'll stop asking and start testing with Blogger while it's still valid.

Who knows right?

Things change but while they still don't, keep using it.
