Choosing The Right Hosting Provider

Guy on sofa doing some thinking about choosing the right hosting provider

This will probably resonate with my previous post about the subject of domain. If you own a piece of virtual property, your know that your domain is the address and the hosting is the 'piece of virtual land' or your apartment where the property located.

If you only have a name, you're just like a cloud floating endlessly in Cyberspace. That would not do you any good because you're basically not exist ...

... virtually, anyway.

I wish I can make my voice thundering across the Cyber space.

I want to shout my dissatisfaction out.

A problem persists, despite my best effort to think positively about the whole issue. My server is experiencing, as of now, the WORST internal server error ever since its conception in 2007.

Due to that I opt to turn to free hosting platform. It's clearly not the best option since I've always advocate on registering own domain and hosting, if one is serious with worthwhile online endeavor.

But hey; this makes me appreciate what I have and not holding anything back just because of the glitches (?)
[In retrospect, I can't recall what I was saying here]

The effectiveness remains doubtful though but nevertheless...
[And 'effectiveness' refers to?... Not again! What's the point here?]

How to choose the right hosting provider?

Right now, the only thing I can suggest is to experience for yourself but the drawback is it takes time.

You probably could not try (and not a viable option too) all available options, and will run out of time and capital to experiment. Most likely, you might put an end before you even begin.

Perhaps you can follow a recommendation from the trusted authority.

But since authority is subjective, you must be clear of whom you are following. Take it with a pinch of salt and do the necessary due diligence.

If you're serious, I can tell you that the quest is worth it.

One final note worth considering:

If you are thinking of targeting your local market then sign-up with a local hosting company BUT if you are targeting more global market, host with companies based in the US or UK. I recommend US but you probably better-off testing it for yourself.

I have reached the end of this article and my server still showing 'Internal Server Error'. Sigh...

Update: I have intentionally ignored all domains hosted on the local hosting provider. I accept the fact that some domains I've paid for diligently for more than 5 years but such inconvenience causes too much pain and I confess that after I ignored everything, I feel calmer. Seriously...
